About Lorien
I was born in Brazil from British parents, I grew up with both languages and cultures. I can help students build this bridge too. I moved to England at the age of 14 where I lived, studied, worked and traveled extensively until 2015, when I came to Brazil. I live in Floripa for a year and a half now. I graduated in advertising in England in 2005, I worked in sales and in the financial area until I decided go into natural medicine. I have been a Holistic Therapist for 11 years and that is why I came to the Magic Island ;-)

I do not have specific training as an English teacher like my mother has but I have grown in that environment!! However, I have the differential of being fluent in English and Portuguese - so conversations can flow quite naturally helping to "untangle the tongue" (desenrolar a lingua). Which seems to me the most difficult part of being fluent in another language. Therefore, it is best that my students already have an English base to build upon.

While still a young child, I remember her brother asking if glass could be made with salt and Lorien coming back with "Yes, vidro temperado". She has a gift with language and words and as a specialist in well-being I have every confidence she can share her knowledge with her students and find innovative ways to help them become fluent also.
