About Malaika
With 3 years of experience tutoring English, I help students move past memorized rules to real, lasting understanding — whether that's untangling a confusing essay, building confidence in grammar, or finally seeing why one comma changes everything.
My approach is patient and practical. I meet each student where they are, break down concepts in plain language, and focus on the "why" behind the rule — not just the rule itself. I'm especially good at spotting exactly where a student gets stuck, because I've spent years explaining tricky ideas clearly, both in the classroom and through my work simplifying complex information for people who needed it explained simply.
I hold a BS in English Language and Literature with certifications in Business Writing and Copywriting, which sharpens how I teach structure, clarity, and voice in writing. But what matters most in our lessons isn't credentials — it's making sure your child actually gets it, and feels confident doing it on their own.

I'm Malaika, a BS English Language and Literature graduate with certifications in Business Writing and Copywriting. I specialize in teaching English language, grammar, and essay writing to students at the Matric/SSC and Intermediate/HSSC levels online.
My teaching approach focuses on breaking down complex language concepts into simple, practical steps. Rather than relying on rote memorization, I emphasize understanding the why behind grammar rules and writing techniques, so students can apply them confidently in exams and beyond. I use real examples, guided practice, and constructive feedback to help students build strong reading comprehension, writing structure, and vocabulary.
Each lesson typically runs 45–60 minutes, depending on the topic and the student's pace. I tailor sessions to individual needs — whether that's exam preparation, essay writing, grammar fundamentals, or building overall fluency and confidence in English.
My lessons are ideal for school and college-level students (Primary, SSC and HSSC) who want to strengthen their English skills, improve their grades, or simply become more comfortable with the language. I bring hands-on writing experience from my work as a freelance content writer, along with a strong academic foundation in English literature and sociolinguistics, to every lesson.
