About Anya
I am currently an MSc student studying in London. English and Linguistics is not my academic field of study, but I am more than qualified to tutor you on using English in everyday life so that you can understand and apply it more easily than what a textbook teaches you. In my own time, I tutor myself in learning Korean and I look after my next-door neighbour's little girl.

I approach each student differently, which is an overused statement, but it's an efficient way to teach and to help someone build on their learning. I will combine oral practice lessons with writing practice, as well as provide crash courses on grammar, and also show students how English people actually talk. Effectively, my classes will be about taking a step back and letting YOU do the talking. This way, I feel, lessons are more catered to what you are interested in and topics you like speaking about. I will assist in providing vocabulary you will actually use based on these topics and jumping in with an explanation on corrections I make to your speech and grammar. The first thing to know about my lessons before you book is please do not be afraid to make mistakes. As someone who learns foreign languages myself, I am empathetic about how difficult it is to conduct yourself with confidence when speaking in that language.
