About Afsara

Hi! I'm an international university student with an IB background, and I achieved a 6 in English A: Language and Literature SL. Having experienced the challenges of the International Baccalaureate myself, I understand how important it is to develop strong analytical, reading and writing skills. Through tutoring and mentoring students from different backgrounds, I've learned the value of patience, encouragement and adapting to different learning styles.
I enjoy helping others express their ideas clearly, discover their strengths and become more confident in their abilities. I want to teach because I find it rewarding to support students as they grow, overcome challenges and reach their academic goals in a positive, supportive environment.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is structured, interactive and tailored to each student's needs. We begin by identifying areas for improvement, whether that is essay structure, analysing literary techniques, comparing texts, developing arguments or expressing ideas creatively. I break challenging concepts into manageable steps, use examples to demonstrate effective writing, and guide students through planning, drafting and improving their own work. For IB English A: Language and Literature SL, I can help students practise textual analysis, explore authorial choices and organise clear, well-supported interpretations. Lessons include personalised feedback and practical exercises so students can build confidence, develop independent thinking and strengthen their writing skills.
