My teacher method is to speak to the student one-to-one and discuss what it is they need to focus on/are struggling with. I will base my lessons on this topic and provide an interactive lesson. I will use exemplar answers, videos, mark scheme criteria and my own A-Level and GCSE work to guide the student through each topic.
I have grade 9 in both English Language and Literature at GCSE and I am currently studying A-Level English Language with target grade A*. At high school I lead group lessons with students in lower years to help them with their English GCSEs. I have also taken part in many writing competitions such as the BBC 500 words contest where I made it to the top 100.

Personal Profile
I regard myself as a hardworking and positive individual. I work well with people and have good social and communication skills, patience and am a good time-keeper. I am currently studying Maths, English Language, French and EPQ at Greenhead College in Huddersfield.
Experience
I am currently working at Di Bosco Coffee and Champagne Bar, where I have been a key member of staff since January 2019. My main duties are: booking customers’ tables, taking orders, making coffees, serving food and drinks, organising and teaching the younger members of staff, cleaning and looking after customers of all ages, as well as opening up on a morning and locking the building on a night. Prior to this, I worked for a year at The Secret Garden Children’s Play Centre and café. I also babysit for an 8 year old boy in my village, and have done for over 4 years now.
Skills
Communication, Teamwork and Leadership: I served as Deputy Head Girl at Horbury Academy, an achievement which I am immensely proud of. I played for Wakefield Phoenix Netball Team, from the age of seven, and for Ossett Albion Girls’ Football Team since the age of five. I have built amazing friendships in both teams. Ossett Albion under 15 girls’ team won the League and Cup twice. I am now part of Greenhead College’s first netball team, participating in both national and regional competitions. I have completed my Bronze and Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award, and aspire to accomplish my gold award in 2021. In these teams, I am capable of taking a leadership role and encouraging and supporting my team mates.
Social skills: I have a wide circle of friends of all ages, and I am comfortable and confident when talking to new people. I consider myself to be friendly and approachable, and able to engage in different conversations. I am a good listener and I consider myself as very polite, as well as having a positive and enthusiastic approach to everything I do.
