About Barbara
I currently study International Relations at Beckett University in Leeds. I speak English, Portuguese, French and Spanish.
Since the age of 16, I have worked extensively with young people aged 8-17, from volunteering at my local primary school to help children with their daily reading, to teaching English in Paris in small groups, working as a team leader abroad for A-Level students, and most recently as a team leader for NCS (a summer camp programme for 16-17 year old's).
My experience is teaching English was at a Montessori school in Paris, to pupils aged 8-10. At the same school I held private lessons for a Norwegian pupil who had struggled to keep up her French peers, through teaching English in French I was able to help her gain confidence and knowledge in both languages. During my time in Paris I also babysat and tutored a 17 year old student who studied English and needed help with correcting her assignments and helping her achieve a better accent in preparation for her oral exams.
Note: I am happy to share my reference from the Headteacher from the school mentioned above - both in French and the translated version.

I offer English lessons for beginners, children aged 7-11. The lesson structure is very flexible and is based on what level the pupil already has and their style of learning. My approach is that learning can be fun for children and it is my responsibility to make sure they enjoy the lessons whilst also learn something new!
