About Lauren
Experience: 10 years in scientific research labs in Sydney, (Australia) and Padova (Italia). I obtained my Ph.D. from the Garvan Institute of Medical Research in Sydney, and worked as a postdoc in the lab of Prof. Rosario Rizzuto in Vallisneri in Padova.
I’ve taught English, Chemistry, and Biology to a wide range of individuals from young kids (5 year old) up to professors and doctors. I’ve also had extensive experience assisting and planning laboratory projects for Erasmus, Masters, and Ph.D students (field: biology, molecular biology, physiology).
I currently teach English to clients ranging from young children to adults in professional roles. I have also designed and taught conversational English courses for Italian high-school students. I offer individual lessons as well as lessons for small groups.
I am also a freelance writer for a number of high-profile agencies, including The Conversation UK (online news), Australian Quarterly ( the longest-running science policy magazine in Australia), and have published several scientific manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals. In my free time I'm writing a book.

Prices vary depending on subject matter and complexity. Approximate prices are 18€/hr for standard English language lessons, 20€/hr for scientific consultation (Ph.D, Masters, project consultation, presentation consultation, business language skills, conference skills), 7€/hr for general proofreading, and 10€/hr for scientific proofreading (thesis and manuscript editing).
Group lessons will be discounted depending on number of students.
