English Literature MSc from The university of Edinburgh.
My academic background is in interdisciplinary literature philosophy and art. I have a particular interest in eco- criticism, phenomenology, and literary theory more broadly. I have A level (poetry & literature) and GCSE literature tutoring experience.

The way I approach lessons is very much dependant on the student and what they need the most help with. My teaching method is based on close reading and analysis; shared discussions and written exercises. I approach each topic with a set of objectives based around a theme of specific focus areas within a text or genre. I provide worksheets and extra exercises for student to do alongside the 1:1 tutoring session. I work closely with students on their writing style to help achieve clarity and precision without compromising individual creativity. I am interested in working with each individual student's ideas to harness their creativity and confidence.
