About Chloe
Hello! I'm a passionate English Literature graduate with a genuine love for helping students discover their potential. Ever since studying English myself, I've been fascinated by the power of literature to develop critical thinking, creativity and confidence. That passion is what inspired me to become both a tutor and a teacher.
I achieved A grades in both GCSE and A Level English Literature before completing my BA (Hons) in English Literature. Alongside my degree, I've gained tutoring experience that has reinforced my belief that every student can succeed with the right support. One of my proudest achievements was helping a GCSE student improve from a Grade C to Grade A by building their confidence, refining their essay-writing skills and teaching effective exam techniques.
I am currently completing my teacher training, giving me up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum, assessment objectives and the challenges students face in today's classrooms. My teaching style is patient, encouraging and personalised—I take the time to understand how each student learns best, creating a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and growing in confidence.

I believe English Literature isn't about memorising quotes—it's about learning how to think critically, analyse confidently, and communicate ideas effectively. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student, identifying their strengths and the areas holding them back. I break down complex texts into manageable steps, teach clear essay structures, and share exam techniques that help students write perceptive, high-mark responses. My aim is not only to improve grades but also to build confidence so students feel prepared for any exam question.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although I also offer 90-minute sessions for students who would like more in-depth support or are preparing for important exams. Sessions are engaging, interactive, and focused on making measurable progress each week. We'll work through texts together, practise exam questions, improve essay writing, and develop revision strategies that students can use independently.
I hold a BA (Hons) in English Literature and achieved A grades in both GCSE and A Level English Literature. Alongside my academic background, I have previous tutoring experience and successfully helped a student improve from a Grade C to Grade A through targeted exam preparation, personalised feedback, and consistent support. I also have experience working with young people through my teacher training, giving me a strong understanding of how to explain concepts clearly and adapt my teaching to different learning styles.
