About Lionel
Hello there! I am Lionel and I have been tutoring for over 10 years. Education is one of my biggest passion and waking up everyday with something new to learn and discover is just so exciting! I believe there is always something to learn from everyone and just as how you learn from me, I hope to learn something from you too. My goal is to rekindle the spark of curiosity in everyone that tends to be smothered by rigid school curriculum and overworked teachers. Join me in an exciting journey to look at the world in a different lens. As you build up mastery of Math and Science, you will begin to appreciate the beauty and amount of thought engineers and our forefathers have put into making our modern world today. Hopefully you will be inspired too and armed with your knowledge, you can make the world (or at least your community) a better place :) Knowledge is power!

I am extremely patient and I place a strong emphasis on building upon my student's intrinsic strengths and interests. My lessons do not only focus on school syllabus, but also on critical thinking skills, developing an independent learning mindset and cultivating a passion to learn in your child. I firmly believe in learning by modelling and that every experience is an opportunity to be a role model for all my students. When applicable, my lessons will also include mini hands-on experiments to spark your child's curiosity in the subject and encourage further, deeper exploration.
