About Alana
Hi! I'm Alana, a university student who enjoys working with people and helping others learn. I am friendly, patient, and easy to talk to, which I believe makes it easier for students to feel comfortable practicing English with me. I grew up helping the people around me learn how to speak English, especially because I grew up in a country where English is not the primary language. This experience taught me the importance of patience, encouragement, and creating a comfortable environment when learning a language.

My goal as an English tutor is to create a comfortable and encouraging space where students can practice speaking without being afraid of making mistakes. I focus on helping students become more confident, fluent, and natural when communicating in English.
Our lessons will be personalized based on your English level and goals. A typical lesson may begin with a short warm-up conversation, followed by vocabulary or pronunciation practice, a guided speaking activity, and a real-life conversation where you can apply what you learned. I will give supportive feedback throughout the lesson and help you improve areas that need more practice.
What sets me apart is my patient and conversational approach. Rather than having students simply memorize English rules, I want them to actually use English and feel comfortable expressing their thoughts. I will adjust the pace and activities depending on each student's needs.
My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners, students who want to improve their everyday communication skills, and anyone who wants more practice speaking English with confidence.
