My approach for tutoring primary/high school students is to assess the basics (spelling/grammar/reading) on the first lesson to find out which particular area(s) they're struggling with, and then structure the next couple lessons around improving that area. I work with them on what they're currently doing in English class at school, and motivate them to get ahead. After covering the basics, I help them with exam preparation (GCSE/A Level), and ensure they achieve the best result possible.
I have a Bachelors degree in English Studies from the University of Stirling, and currently tutor students at a high school level. There are noticeable improvements in these students' grades after only a couple lessons, and I am happy to help University students with their assignments (including dissertation work) either online or in person.
