About Elisabeth
I have been tutoring in English since I myself was in Primary School. Since then, I have progressed from tutoring peers to reading at the local library and giving lessons to adults and underprivileged children, as well as supplementary tutoring for students up to GCSE level that require additional help with reading. I have helped students that have gone on to complete their exams and obtain grades that were a fantastic achievement and showed incredible improvements, gaining from C to A*. In students that have been outside of standardised examinations, I have also had fantastic results in their progression, and have helped a number of them go on to get jobs.

My tutorship will focus on reading comprehension, analysis of written text and understanding context and subtext and expansion of vocabulary. This will be done through a variety of assignments, including set texts and quizzes, games and more, depending on the student, their level and needs.
If you already know your reading age then that's fantastic, but all students will be given a brief test to determine their level initially regardless so this is not a problem! I am an incredibly patient teacher and feel that no two students are the same, and as such my approach is always as catered as possible to individuals. I have tutored and am willing to tutor students of all ages.
