As a tutor, my main goal is to try and figure out what my student is interested in, whether it's about finding out what their hobby is or what they would like to learn to say in French. In my experience, one is a lot more likely to make progress in a foreign language when their curiosity of the language is cultivated. That is why I believe basing my lessons on what they are interested in is a good way to enhance their comprehension, writing or oral skills. Furthermore, I try to speak French for most of my lessons, when the participant is able to understand me, in order to improve their oral comprehension capacities.
French is my first language and I have been giving private music and French lessons since I was 17. I was also requested to help children doing their homework. I have experience working with young kids as well as with teenagers as I was an Aupair for six months and was volunteering at Firbeck Primary school in Nottingham to help children learn how to read.
