About Helena
Learning languages both on my own and with teachers has been a passion of mine since forever, as teaching has been. Already in school I used to meet with my friends when they needed to help with their homework or studying for our exams. After graduating, I decided to reach more students and started to tutor and teach professionally.
I have successfully helped students with ADHD, dyslexia, native languages other than those of their learning environment, lack of interest in the subject or lack of basic knowledge, creatively adapting the classes to the style that best suits them so that they achieve their goals, receiving very good feedback from them and their families.

I adapt both the program and the methodology to the needs, aptitudes and learning style of the student, although I generally have a preference to work on the grammar through practice and only approach the theory when it has already been internalized or deduced from its use.
Conversation is vital in most of my classes, as it internalises what has been learned and aids in becoming familiar with the grammatical structures, introducing vocabulary and gaining fluency in both oral and written expression.
I obtained in 2018 the CPE certificate (Proficiency, C2) with a Grade A and, in case you are preparing for an official exam, I will share the strategies and techniques for each part and particular type of exercise that proved more efficient to me on official exams since 2012, as well as to my students for the last 3 years.
