I don't want the student to listen to me for the entire lesson. I want the student to participate, think, answer questions and gradually become independent.
First I try to understand what the student already knows and where the difficulty is. Then I break the skill into smaller, manageable steps.

Effective teaching is not just delivering information to the learner. It is anout understanding where the student is, identifying the difficulty and then helping the student move forward step by step.
My teaching style is interactive and student-centered. I ask questions, encourage students to explain their thinking and use examples that are appropriate to their age and interests.
Most importantly, I want students to feel that making mistakes is a part of learning.
I teach across the different levels of learning, from elementary to tertiary students, and even to professionals for IELTS, TOEFL, SAT and ESL.
