About Emilia
I have been teaching ESL for 4+ years now, and from the bottom of my heart, every day has been a wish come true to me. There is no warmer feeling than seeing a student proud of him/herself for recognizing their own success in their capabilities. I seek to shine a light on students' strengths and highlight the ways in which their strengths can carry them through any obstacle. I am passionate about languages and communication, and I cherish the opportunity that language provides us to be able to connect to one another, and in other instances, the way it opens us up to greater opportunities to expand our horizons. I am honored to be able to assist students along their educational journeys of learning the English language and expanding as individuals.

I approach teaching ESL attentively and carefully, to suit the individual needs of the student, in order to ensure ultimate success on their learning journey. Through various methods, we integrate speaking, writing, reading, comprehension, and communication, for holistic learning and success. An example of what lessons would look like with me, would be a presentation of a certain reading passage on a topic that would preferably peak the student's interest. After the presentation, we would practice reading together out loud, where we practice pronunciation, and discuss vocabulary words, and also discuss the meaning of what we are reading, whereby teacher and student can converse on their own thoughts together. Then the student will produce their own work by incorporating and emulating different sentence structures in their own writing and speaking practices, which we can work on together and apart, depending on the student's need, which will expand the student's ability to comprehend, speak, read, and write in English, more successfully.
