About Hannah
I loved English in school and also found that it was one of the subjects where your own personal thoughts most apply. Classes can be based on how you structure an argument, yet I found that the best approach is working out what your argument actually is first. Once you learn how to build your own opinion on the text, you can focus on how to structure them into a convincing argument. Then suddenly writing essays can become fun and engaging. I am prepared to tutor students through mock exams, homework essays or for more long term weekly meetings to grow confidence in the subject area.

Lessons will be 1 or 2 hours depending on the request of the student. My teaching methodology is to assess what they already know and add in the skills which can apply to the widest variety of skillsets needed in the class. We can focus on basic skills such as spelling, sentence structure or building essays, or more nuanced focuses on specific texts and analysis. Lessons are aimed towards any age, I have experience tutoring ages 5+ all the way to GCSE English level so I can adapt to any age and class requirements based on what they need.
