About Sophia-grace
Hi, I’m Sophia, a dedicated and enthusiastic English tutor with a recent A* equivalent achievement in GCSE English.
I specialise in helping students improve their essay writing, creative writing, comprehension, and overall confidence in English. Having recently completed my own GCSEs with strong results, I understand exactly what exam boards are looking for and the techniques needed to achieve top grades in both SATs and GCSE English.
I am passionate about helping students feel more confident in their abilities and making lessons engaging, supportive, and tailored to their individual learning style. My goal is not only to improve grades but also to help students genuinely understand and enjoy the subject.
I provide personalised lessons, targeted homework after every session, and regular feedback for parents so progress is always clear and measurable.

My lessons are fully tailored to each student’s individual needs, whether that is essay writing, creative writing, comprehension, grammar, SATs preparation, or GCSE English.
Every lesson includes personalised homework set specifically around the areas that need improvement, helping students build confidence and make steady progress between sessions. I also provide regular parent feedback forms and progress updates so you can clearly see what has been covered, what your child is improving on, and the next steps moving forward.
During lessons, I always go above and beyond to ensure full understanding. I focus on making learning engaging, supportive, and interactive so students feel comfortable asking questions and building confidence. If a student needs extra explanation on a topic, I always prioritise their understanding and progress rather than rushing through content. My aim is to put each student’s needs first and help them achieve the best results possible.

Sophia has tutored my daughter for over a year on Preply and every lesson is so well thought out. She offers parent feedback forms which I love to see my daughters progress and also sets homework regularly.
