About Esme
I’m a recent A Level graduate currently on my gap year before starting my Law degree at the University of Bristol. I’ve always loved reading, writing, and exploring ideas through English, and I’m excited to share that passion with my students. I’ve previously volunteered to mentor children, helping to build their confidence and wellbeing, and have experience working with young learners in supportive environments. My approach is friendly, encouraging, and tailored to each student — whether they’re building confidence at primary level or refining essay skills for GCSE and A Level. I aim to make lessons engaging, supportive, and rewarding, helping every student reach their full potential and truly enjoy learning along the way.

As an A Level graduate with A* in History, A in English Literature, A in Art, and A* in my EPQ, and a future Law student at the University of Bristol, I bring a strong academic background and enthusiasm for teaching. My lessons are usually 45 minutes to an hour long, though I’m happy to adjust depending on the student’s needs. I can support primary, GCSE, and A Level students. My teaching focuses on exam techniques, essay structuring, and helping with content where needed, as well as setting tasks and providing detailed feedback. My goal is to help students build confidence and achieve their best results in English.
