About Naiya
I have just finished my A level exams and I am predicted to achieve the grades A*A*B with an A* in English literature and language which I am hugely passionate about. I also have a high grade AS level in creative writing which I achieved a few years ago alongside studying for my gcse exams in which I achieved a grade 9 in English literature and language on the new specification. I have a love for English and I think anyone can find it simple and enjoyable with the right guidance. I have often helped my younger siblings with phonics and basic level literary analysis aswell as my personal favourite, creative writing.

I try to encourage a person/students own ideas about texts and try to first help them develop clarity then attach context to their ideas and finally accurately apply the correct terminology. For example in reading Shakespeare's Othello a student may have the basic idea that desdemona is presented as subordinated and to achieve good marks for this analysis I will help them look for evidence of this both in Shakespearean society and in the play. This aims to tie all aspects of English together: literary and linguistic techniques, clarity, analysis and contextual development.
My teaching foundations will be founded on a reinforcement of proper grammar which is surprisingly missed out of many classroom English lessons.
