About Valeria
I am currently studying Philosophy and Psychology at Durham University in England. I have been speaking English since I was four, attended four summer courses in the UK during my school years, had English as a "Leistungskurs" (advanced class within the German Abitur), and completed the IELTS test at level 8.5 (equivalent to level C2 / native speaker). During my time at school, I tutored students from years 6 to 12 in English, Latin, and Ancient Greek for four years, and my students improved a lot. In total, I speak four modern languages and have also learned three ancient languages at school.

My courses are aimed at students of all ages, language levels and school types, but also at adults who want to improve their English. From my own experience, I know that learning a language requires doing exercises and regular conversation in that language. That is why I believe it is very important to communicate with students in English, both on everyday and class-related topics. After a small conversation at the beginning of the lesson, homework can be worked on or exams can be prepared together. Alternatively, depending on the student's needs, exercises that specifically promote reading and listening comprehension and oral and written expression are carried out. If needed, further exercises can be given as homework, which can be worked on independently and checked together during the next lesson.
