About Jess
I am currently studying English at the University of Cambridge and have been working as an online tutor outside of university terms for over 3 months since the start of my undergraduate degree. Throughout my school career I mentored younger students, and I am widely read in my subject outside of the scope of my own exam board syllabuses.

Before starting sessions I have in-depth discussions with students and parents to get a clear idea of the skill areas which they want to work on, and their specific exam-focussed or general development goals. I then devise a flexible plan for the upcoming sessions, targetting a skill or honing in on a text per session, and adapting based on feedback and my assessment of response and progress. I am happy to go through exam papers and to set homework tasks.
