About Zach
I’m a Year 13 student with previous tutoring experience and an Enhanced DBS, and I enjoy helping younger students become more confident and independent in their learning. I currently study A-level English Literature, Psychology and Religious Studies, and I achieved strong GCSE grades, including an 8 in English Literature and a 7 in English Language.
Alongside tutoring, I also work with children as an assistant Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach, which has helped me develop patience, clear communication and the ability to adapt explanations to different ages and personalities. I aim to create a relaxed but focused environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and improving step by step.

I keep lessons friendly, structured and focused on building confidence as well as improving results. I usually start by identifying the areas a student finds most difficult, then break topics into simple steps before using practice questions, short quizzes and feedback to check understanding.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although shorter sessions can work well for younger pupils. I have previous tutoring experience and an Enhanced DBS, and I also work with children as an assistant Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu coach, which has helped me become patient, clear and adaptable when explaining things.
My lessons are mainly aimed at KS2 and 11+ students, especially for English, reading comprehension, creative writing and verbal reasoning. I can also support general homework and help students prepare for school entrance exams in a calm, encouraging way.
