About Darren
Hi! I’m Darren Stone, and I’ve been teaching guitar, music production, and composition for over 15 years. I’ve taught in secondary schools, from instrumental lessons to classroom teaching, and I’m proud to have consistently helped my students achieve results above the national average. Since 2019, I’ve been teaching NCFE Music Technology with a 100% pass rate!
Beyond teaching, I’ve spent most of my nearly 20 years career working as a professional media composer, guitarist, and songwriter. I’ve had the pleasure of learning from amazing talents like Mark Hill (Craig David, Artful Dodger) and Steve Hillier (Dubstar), which opened the door to a rewarding career in TV, including work for Endemol Entertainment. One of my highlights was writing songs for Disney Junior’s “Get Up and Dance,” a massive hit with over 55 million views on YouTube!
