I tend to avoid 'spoonfeeding', particularly with younger children. This is because the best way for someone to learn something new is for them to be given the tools to work it out, and then for them to fully understand it. Encouraging logical and intuitive thinking is key when teaching so that students can move forward outside of lessons.
