About Steve
I have worked with students with complex needs and delivered level 9 (A*) and Distinction* success regularly in my full time leadership position. As an English teacher for Secondary Years 7-11, and overseen GCSE success in the new 1-9 curriculum model, I've also been Head of Media for 10 Years in a successful department, I've developed several programmes of study for all Key Stages at the Secondary curriculum and have a warm, personalised approach to a range of learning styles.
I am currently completing a Masters Degree in Innovation, looking at how to engage learners in Music Technology.

I take my time to learn a student's interests and areas for development before finding out which approach best engages them. Once I know what inspires them, I can develop my resources and questioning around getting students to want to discover the answers for themselves. Reflection is crucial to progression, so each session would look at previous learning and then make the next steps towards success.
