About Savan
I'm a final year medical student with a 1st class intercalated BSc in Psychology. I have extensive experience tutoring both informally (A-level and GCSE science to younger family friends) and formally (with the Tutor trust), where I tutored over 30 students in GCSE Science. I have thoroughly enjoyed these experiences and have developed various skills and techniques to ensure my students not only engage with and retain the course content, but also enjoy and develop an interest in the subject. I have a car so am happy to commute. I have also taken part in peer mentoring schemes in the past at the medical school which involves mentoring the first year medical students so feel I have a good grasp on the wants and needs of the younger students. My speciality lies in tutoring Biology. I have always enjoyed it at school and having attained an A* in it at A-level, and my medical course involving a lot of biology, I feel like I have a good grasp on the subject. Savan has taught Science in a few different schools for us with year 11 students on a 1:3 basis. He has worked with students from across the ability range, focusing mainly on hose at the 3/4 borderline.
