About Carlyn
My background is writer mostly includes freelance writing. I worked as a creative editor. In other words, I reconstructed poorly translated English scripts for Turkish shows; they basically have to be completely rewriten because the English translations are not legible. Those scripts get translated into afrikaans and are dubbed into Afrikaans using voice actors. I also worked in quality checks after dubbing to ensure the afrikaans dialogue was correctly executed and if there were any language mistakes.

Every student is different. Just like all people are different. I think it's important to get to know the student. Perhaps set up a test in order for me to know where he skill level is at. Once I've established that I'll know what areas need to be focused on and where to start the lessons. Observing how they approach the test would also be a major factor in how I approach teaching my student. It has to be tailored. The more you understand what your student needs the more willing they'll be to participate and as a result, retain memory of the lesson better and comprehend the tasks that's presented to him/her better.
