It is important to focus not only on key dates, people and places, but also themes - such as Nationalism, Liberalism, Imperialism etc. Lessons will depend on the individual's needs and the syllabus. I focus on an events importance internationally, not just nationally, and like to encourage investigative thinking.
I am new to the private tutoring game, but I have had experience teaching - previously working in a preschool/primary school 'after school club.' I have also assisted GCSE students whilst doing A-Levels. History Degree obtained in 2018.

Since the age of thirteen I have worked in various part time positions running alongside my full time education. This has allowed me to develop my confidence and interpersonal skills outside of an academic environment.
May 2010 – April 2014
General Assistant at a local barber. My duties included keeping the salon tidy, talking to customers and providing refreshments. My aim was to provide all visitors with a professional, comfortable and pleasant experience. In this position I was expected to work independently and on my own initiative and yet also be part of the salon team.
April 2014 – September 2015
Happy Days Preschool/After School leader. I worked as part of a team and was responsible for the safety and well-being of the children in our care. My role also included meeting parents and communicating information to them, listening to their comments and concerns and responding in a professional and empathetic way. The position also required the ability to assess and react to situations quickly.
May 2015 – September 2018
Poultry Farming. I worked independently in a high paced environment, having to both meet constant deadlines, whilst simultaneously ensuring the correct biosecurity measures are being met. Being both physically laborious and repetitive work, including early morning starts, my time here strengthened my ability to work through strenuous circumstances and deliver results.
May 2017 – Oct 2017
Residence Deep Cleaning. I briefly worked in a temporary post, deep cleaning the student halls of residence. This also included group work, as we were expected (as a collective) to empty and clean the living quarters of students at a competitively fast rate.
