About John
My teaching career was primarily based in Wales, where I worked in several schools, one of which integrated physically disadvantaged children into mainstream classrooms, which was intrinsically challenging, but also fantastically rewarding. Other schools were generally in disadvantaged areas, where behaviour issues were prevalent and empowering the children paramount for success.
I have also visited several Scandinavian primary schools to work with children in order to understand this very child centred learning model
It is my hope that I can draw on all of these skills and experiences in order to help your child not only to achieve but also to exceed their learning goals.

I firmly believe that different children all learn most effectively in very different ways, and that a 'one style fits all’ model of teaching will not be as effective as it should be for ALL children. It is my job as a tutor to understand what type of learner you are and then to formulate lesson approaches that best match you're learning style. Above all however, lessons should be fun and engaging.
