About David
My work background includes five years working with traumatised children due to abuse of neglect and eleven years practising as a qualified mental health nurse with the NHS. I gained a degree in psychology (2:2)with the Open University, a Masters degree with Leeds University (pass grade), and a Diploma in Higher education in Nursing Studies (mental health). As a qualified staff nurse I have mentored many students from first year to third year while on placement at Diploma and Degree Level.

As a tutor, my method of teaching would be to complement the teaching provided by the university lecturers and nurse mentors. My aim would be to increase the student's level of knowledge and add to what they have already learnt by passing on my knowledge gained from practice and experience to the student. The lesson will be structured by providing a goal for each lesson, present new material in short steps, and end with questions so the student has a full understanding of the lesson's topic.
