About Ajoke
I’m an enthusiastic and dedicated English tutor with over five years of teaching experience. I’m passionate about helping students develop confidence in their reading, writing, and communication skills. I believe learning English should be both enjoyable and effective. My lessons are interactive, tailored to each student’s goals, and designed to make complex ideas easy to understand. I focus on building strong foundations in grammar and vocabulary, while also encouraging creativity through writing and discussion. In my free time, I love reading and exploring new ways to make language learning engaging and relevant to everyday life. I take pride in being patient, encouraging, and committed to seeing my students succeed.

My approach to tutoring English focuses on building confidence, understanding, and enjoyment in the subject. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to each learner’s strengths, needs, and goals. At the start, I like to assess what areas the student finds easiest and most challenging — whether it’s reading comprehension, grammar, essay writing, or speaking skills. From there, I design lessons that are structured but engaging, using activities such as: Reading short passages together and discussing themes or vocabulary. Breaking down grammar and sentence structure in simple, practical ways. Practising creative writing and essay planning using real examples. Encouraging open discussion to build confidence in expressing ideas clearly. I keep my lessons interactive, using questions, games, and real-life examples to make English enjoyable rather than intimidating. I also give positive feedback and small, achievable goals each week so students can see their progress and feel motivated. Ultimately, my goal is to help each student develop strong language skills and a genuine appreciation for English — whether for school exams or everyday communication.
