About Janet
I have a Master's degree in TESOL from New York University. I taught and tutored ESL for eight years to adults who had challenges communicating in English at their workplace. During my 8 years of teaching and tutoring ESL, my main goal was to create an environment where learning a second language was made engaging, enjoyable and challenging. This was achieved whether I was teaching 8 students or tutoring one student.

My lesson plans are created to address the needs of my students and to align the vocabulary and grammar accordingly. My target is to encourage my students to think in the target language and to avoid the translation method. Creating an immersive environment will help students to develop speaking quicker in the target language. This will be my goal for each student.
