About Jeana
Hi! My name is Jeana, and I am from the US.
I have been teaching ESL for over 20 years and have taught in the US, China, Cyprus, and the UAE, mostly at the high school and adult levels.
My university education includes a bachelor's in Education, a master's in Adult Education/TEFL, and a doctorate in Educational Leadership. I also am certified to teach ESL.
Teaching ESL is my passion because I love to see students succeed and meet their language goals!

As a tutor, it is important for me to conduct a low-pressure class so that my students feel comfortable practicing English. I integrate vocabulary and pronunciation into every lesson, along with some minor grammatical instruction as needed.
I prefer working with intermediate and advanced-level adults, especially those who are learning English for specific purposes, such as preparing for international education, improving English for business, job improvement opportunities, and even just for a hobby.
IELTS speaking is one of my favorite subjects to teach, and most of my students improve their scores by at least 1.5 bands.
