About Katie
I am just stepping into the world of teaching English as a second language. For four years, I taught young children to read and write. I enjoyed strengthening the children's talents and overcoming their weaknesses. I would like to take that same enjoyment of learning and growing into the adult world as we identify strong points and growth points and work together to make English an easy part of life here in the United States or worldwide.

My lessons are geared toward basic English learners. The lessons are adjusted to the needs/goals of the student and include things such as everyday objects, simple conversations, and reading and writing English. I prefer to meet at a coffee shop or the library, but may occasionally divert to a hands-on English-practice experience such as shopping or cooking a meal together.
