ESOl for IELTs and Living in the UK -Supported Lessons for You! Other subjects: Business,Retail, Care & Foundation Maths

Methodology

I use a variety of techniques and try to have sessions learner-centred. I have experience with dyslexia and SEN needs. Importantly I encourage people to make mistakes and then to self correct, as using language is important for communication and how learners can more confidently know how phrases and vocabulary are used, and to then recognise context. My learners have ranged in ages from 15 yrs to over 60yrs with a wide, diverse background.

Background

I have taught ESOL in Brazil, Portugual and Japan, as well as UK. I have lots of experience and patience to support learners to achieve. I have supported learners with English language within various topics; working to exams, business English, conversation and other specific topics such as science etc

I am an enthusiastic, hard working team player. I have expertise in supporting customers to achieve timely goals and I have successfully delivered a variety of subjects with excellent achievement rates. I have experience in completing learner reviews; promote courses and programs such as Study Programme, Traineeships and Apprenticeships to learners and employers.
I think of myself as a person who has the ability to look for solutions to challenges and not see these as obstacles. I am an effective problem solver with a flexible and responsive approach to teaching, marketing, assessing, engagement and delivery. I feel this has been part of my success and longevity within training.
During my professional career, I have managed small teams, planned and designed resources, lesson plans, schemes of work, timetabled and actively participate in continual professional development. I have excellent ICT skills that support the completion of paperwork and record keeping through using MS Word, MS Excel and databases. Finally I enjoy learning and achieving goals and like to be considered for positions within your organisation. I have had a career change recently going back in to health and social care to update my skills to widen my assessing base. I work on a specialist adult service for brain injury, and brain disorders. I assist with personal care, life skills and social care, liaise with agencies and families and complete relevant administration.

I also have a gardening business maintaining small gardens, designs, maintain and plant, local work in Liverpool. I also work as a Supply Teacher for a small specialist school ages 14- 16 yrs.
