About Emily
I have 6+ years of working in a school setting. My BA HONS degree is in Working with Children, Young People and Families. My current position is working as a teacher in an International school in Bangkok teaching ESOL and life skills.

My specialist area is working with children and young people. However, I also have experience teaching adults and helping learners prepare for their IELTS exams.
I believe the best way to teach English is in a natural and organic way through meaningful conversation, asking open-ended questions, and modelling new vocabulary to develop and expand sentence structures.
My main focus is on building learners' confidence, as I believe this is essential for language development. It is important that learners feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions, as everyone has to start somewhere in order to make progress.
I create a friendly, supportive, and engaging learning environment where lessons are fun, interactive, and tailored to each learner's interests. This helps to maintain motivation and encourages active participation. Above all, I ensure that every lesson is personalised to meet each learner's individual needs, making sure they feel seen, heard, respected, and supported throughout their learning journey.
