About Lucy
I am a BA Music graduate and double bassist with experience in orchestral, chamber and solo performance, and an interest in written music studies. I have been playing the double bass for almost 15 years and have also had experience with learning the piano and singing.
I found that beginning to learn music theory separately from the studies of my instrument helped gain a clearer understanding of the ways music works in broader contexts and I believe this will be helpful to others.

I offer evening tutoring for music theory. Whether following the ABRSM music theory books, preparing for GCSE or A-level appraisal exams or just beginning to learn about music theory, my tutoring sessions will help students to make progress in their understanding of music and how it is created.
Sessions can be held online or in the student's home in the Canterbury area at a rate of £30 per hour, with 30-minute (beginners) and 45-minute (exam preparation) slots available.
