About Nisha
My interest in Excel began when I realised how powerful it is for organising, analysing, and presenting information clearly. This curiosity led me to pursue a Master’s in Data Science, where I developed strong skills in working with data and understanding its importance. Over the past 9 years, I have worked with students and professionals, helping them learn Excel in a way that feels simple, practical, and useful. My experience has allowed me to understand different learning needs and guide students with patience and clarity.
I believe that learning Excel should feel easy and approachable. My teaching style focuses on breaking down features into small, understandable steps so students never feel lost. I use hands-on practice, real examples, and clear explanations to reinforce understanding. I also encourage students to explore and experiment, which helps them become more confident in using Excel independently. Creating a positive and supportive learning environment is important to me, as it helps students learn without fear of making mistakes.
Outside of teaching, I continue to explore new tools and techniques in data handling and analysis. This helps me keep my lessons updated and relevant to real-world needs. Teaching Excel is rewarding because I see students grow from beginners into confident users who can manage data efficiently. Helping them build a skill that is useful in studies, careers, and daily life gives me great satisfaction and motivation to continue improving as an instructor.

Excel becomes truly useful when students learn how to organise and understand data in a clear and structured way. In my lessons, I focus on building strong foundations in data entry, formatting, formulae, and essential functions. I guide students step by step so they can understand each feature without confusion. I use real-life examples such as budgeting, tracking, and reporting to make learning practical and easy to relate to. Each session is designed to be calm, interactive, and supportive, helping students feel comfortable while learning new tools. I always encourage learners to ask questions and explore different ways to solve tasks, which builds both confidence and curiosity.
As students improve, lessons expand into more advanced topics such as data analysis, charts, pivot tables, and automation. Beginners start with simple exercises and guided practice. Intermediate learners focus on improving speed, accuracy, and efficiency in handling data. Advanced learners work on complex datasets, problem-solving tasks, and real-world applications. I include consistent practice, feedback, and revision to help students build strong and reliable skills over time. This structured approach ensures steady progress without overwhelming the learner.
Excel also helps students develop logical thinking and attention to detail. As they grow, they become more confident in organising information and making decisions based on data. They learn to approach tasks in a structured way and improve their efficiency in both academic and professional settings. My goal is to help students feel confident using Excel independently and to equip them with a valuable skill that supports long-term success in many areas of life.
