About Raya
My journey with Excel began through academic and professional tasks that required organised data and precise analysis. I earned a B.Com in Information Systems, where spreadsheets played a central role in problem-solving and reporting. Over the past 8 years, I have helped learners from varied backgrounds develop confidence in using Excel effectively.
I believe Excel should feel practical and approachable. My teaching style emphasises clarity, patience, and real-world relevance. I adapt lessons to suit personal, academic, or professional goals, ensuring learners see immediate value.
Outside teaching, I continue improving my Excel skills through data projects and workflow optimisation. Teaching Excel is rewarding because progress is visible and empowering. Helping learners gain confidence with data is a meaningful part of my work.

Excel lessons are structured to help learners move from basic spreadsheet use to confident data organisation and analysis. I guide students through core skills such as formulae, functions, logical operators, cell referencing, and formatting with clear explanations and practical examples. Each lesson focuses on showing how Excel supports real tasks like tracking information, organising data, and making sense of numbers. Learners are encouraged to experiment in a safe environment that builds confidence.
As skills develop, lessons explore lookup functions, pivot tables, data validation, charts, and basic dashboards. Students learn how to structure worksheets for clarity and efficiency while avoiding common errors. I emphasise understanding how data flows within a spreadsheet rather than memorising commands. Step-by-step practice and repetition help learners become faster and more accurate.
Excel lessons also strengthen attention to detail and logical thinking. Many learners gain confidence when they realise they can manage data independently. My goal is to help students feel in control of information and capable of presenting clear, reliable insights.
