About Diana
My journey with Excel began through data-driven projects and realising its power to streamline workflows, improve accuracy, and support analysis. This led me to pursue a B.Sc in Information Technology and an M.Sc in Data Analytics, where I gained both foundational knowledge and advanced skills. Over 8 years of teaching, I have guided students from beginners to advanced users, helping them develop competence, confidence, and practical mastery of Excel.
I emphasise hands-on practice, applied exercises, and stepwise learning. I encourage learners to experiment, think critically, and apply concepts to real-world data while providing structured guidance and clear explanations. My teaching methodology ensures students not only learn the tools but also understand their application, fostering independence and analytical capability.
Outside teaching, I continuously explore new Excel features, automation techniques, and data analysis methods. Incorporating these into lessons keeps learning relevant and practical. Watching students transform from hesitant users to confident, independent practitioners is immensely rewarding and fuels my ongoing dedication to Excel education.

My Excel lessons are designed to provide learners with a strong foundation in spreadsheet management and advanced data analysis. I teach essential and advanced functions, formulae, pivot tables, charts, dashboards, and automation using macros. Lessons integrate applied exercises, step-by-step demonstrations, and real-world data scenarios to ensure students gain practical competence and confidence. I emphasise the logic behind each function, helping learners develop analytical thinking, accuracy, and the ability to work independently.
Beginners focus on data entry, simple formulae, formatting, and basic chart creation. Intermediate learners practise pivot tables, conditional formatting, complex formulae, scenario analysis, and visual reporting. Advanced learners explore macros, dashboards, automation, and integrating Excel with other analytical tools. Each lesson is structured to combine hands-on practice, guided exercises, and applied problem-solving to reinforce understanding, build efficiency, and promote mastery.
Excel proficiency improves logical reasoning, structured thinking, and problem-solving ability. Students learn to analyse data, generate actionable insights, and present results with clarity. My goal is to equip learners with comprehensive skills that enable them to manage data effectively, optimise workflows, and make informed decisions in academic, professional, and personal contexts.
