About Ira
I am former Paramedic, have completed High School and the Atlantic paramedic Academy with Honours in both. I am also a former provincial public speaker with my 4-H club. I have worked in many fields outside of paramedicine; aquaculture, tourism, and preschool. I have also worked as an education assistant and tutored a boy in biology who needed enrichment.

I like to do a brief assessment of my pupils knowledge base and intentions and then work with them in a topic of their choice to refine their spoken english. I use a combination of methods including the direct method, communicative language teaching, immersion and the natural approach. I want the student to be as comfortable and happy as possible while still providing concrete instruction.
