About Charlotte
I’m Charlotte, a Finance and Investment Banking student at university also currently sitting my CII R01-R06 - Financial advising exam. I have a strong background in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis. Throughout my studies I’ve regularly used mathematical and statistical techniques, from algebra and calculus to econometrics and data science. I enjoy working through problems logically and helping others understand concepts that can initially seem difficult.
I want to become a tutor because I know how valuable good teaching can be. I’ve experienced challenging topics myself and understand that students often just need concepts explained in a different way for them to click. I find it rewarding to help people build confidence in subjects they may be struggling with and to see their progress over time.
Alongside my studies, I’m looking for a flexible role that allows me to use my academic skills in a meaningful way. Tutoring is a great fit because it combines my quantitative background with the opportunity to support students in achieving their goals.

I would be a strong maths and statistics tutor because I have developed strong analytical and problem-solving skills through my degree, where statistics, data analysis, and quantitative methods form a significant part of my studies. Having worked through challenging mathematical and econometric concepts myself, I understand the difficulties students can face and can explain complex topics in a clear, patient, and approachable way.
I am also experienced in breaking down problems into manageable steps, helping students build confidence and develop a genuine understanding rather than simply memorising methods. As a high-level athlete, I have developed discipline, perseverance, and strong time-management skills, which I bring to tutoring sessions. I am reliable, encouraging, and committed to helping students achieve their academic goals while creating a positive and supportive learning environment.
Additionally, my experience studying finance has strengthened my ability to work with data, statistical software, and quantitative reasoning, making me well-equipped to support students in both mathematics and statistics at a range of levels.
