About Honoka
I love to travel, and my favorite place is Kyoto: I'm fascinated by its temples amidst cherry blossoms in spring or blanketed in snow in winter, always enjoying a matcha treat, of course.
I also love watching movies, anime, and playing sports.
I lived in Australia working in schools there, and I also have experience in the corporate world as a business and sales consultant. So, whether you want to chat about your hobbies or learn business Japanese, I can help you a lot! My classes are super dynamic and tailored to your specific needs. I look forward to learning with you!

Tailored Japanese Lessons: Real Conversations & Practical Culture
Hi, I’m Honoka! I help job seekers, professionals, and language enthusiasts speak natural Japanese with confidence. My classes are energetic, supportive, and completely tailored to your goals—seeing my students enjoy learning is what energizes me in every lesson!
My Teaching Approach
I focus on real-world communication over rigid textbook rules.
Practical Role-Play: Master natural reactions, small talk, and nuanced phrasing for everyday life and the workplace.
Cultural Context: Understand why Japanese people express themselves the way they do by exploring values, daily life, and pop culture.
Self-Study Guidance: Learn effective ways to review independently and practice speaking on your own.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Warm-Up: Tongue twisters and pronunciation exercises to loosen up.
Key Phrases & Context: Essential expressions for specific situations (interviews, work, or casual chats).
Interactive Role-Play: Active practice through dynamic conversations and discussions.
Feedback & Review: Friendly, constructive corrections and actionable self-study steps.
