About John
Hello! My name is John Norris. Some terms encapsulating my teaching style are enthusiastic, dedicated, committed, and consistent. My objective is to instill in my students a genuine and enduring love for learning. My family and early life experiences fostered a passion for history and writing. I resolved to pursue these passions wherever they led. During my educational journey, I was fortunate to have exceptional teachers, and upon graduating high school, I committed myself to replicating for others the positive impact my teachers had on me.
I am a product of the California State University system, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in United States History and a minor in creative writing. Subsequently, I continued my education and earned a Master of Arts degree in Education.
I have dedicated my professional career to education, devoting my time and energy to the students I am privileged to work with. I have chosen to emulate the tradition of outstanding tutors and teachers who have unlocked the potential of some of our brightest minds. In 2010, I founded Norris Educational Services, an educational consulting firm that focuses on the individual student. In collaboration with other stakeholders in the community, including parents, teachers, school districts, and local colleges and universities, we have developed comprehensive programs to assist students in preparing for necessary tests, benchmarks, and milestones throughout their educational journeys. Through skills training and efforts to build personal confidence, I have dedicated my professional endeavors to ensuring that every student is capable of achieving their goals and aspirations.
I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, and visiting historical sites in my spare time. Whenever possible, I make time to read and write, immersing myself in research to expand my knowledge and unravel mysteries. My learning experiences are often as valuable as those of my students. I ensure that any knowledge I impart to my students has been thoroughly tested by me personally. Lifelong learning is an essential pursuit for all of us.
