About Ida
I am an AGA(SA) and experienced senior finance professional with many years of practical experience across accounting, financial management, CFO-level roles, reporting, cash flow, budgeting, systems and business finance in South Africa and international organisations.
Throughout my career, I have particularly enjoyed mentoring and developing finance teams, helping people understand not only how to calculate the numbers, but how to interpret them and use them to make better business decisions.
My teaching style is practical, clear and encouraging, with a strong focus on connecting Financial Management theory to real workplace situations.
I am passionate about helping students and finance professionals build confidence, strengthen their financial judgement and become more capable in applying what they have learnt.

I teach Financial Management in a practical, real-world way so that you understand not only the calculations, but also what the numbers mean for a business.
Lessons can cover cash flow, working capital, budgeting, management accounts, profitability, financial ratios, forecasting, capital investment decisions, cost control and practical financial analysis.
You are welcome to bring a specific topic, assignment concept or workplace problem, and we will work through it together step by step.
My approach combines academic understanding with many years of senior finance experience, helping you connect theory to real business decisions.
The goal is to help you understand the logic, apply the concepts confidently and develop stronger financial judgement.
