About Aleesha
Hello there! I am a final year PhD candidate in Engineering at the University of Cambridge, and a Cambridge Trust Scholar.
I have extensive teaching experience, including supervising undergraduate students at Cambridge in Computer Science and Engineering courses, and privately tutoring primary and secondary level students in STEM subjects. My teaching approach is friendly, patient, and tailored to each student's needs, helping learners build both confidence and mastery in their chosen subjects.

Aleesha has the ability to explain complex concepts in a relatable way. Coupled with the fact that she is very patient, she is the perfect combination of what one looks for in a good tutor. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to learn math (without it being a painful process!).
Aleesha taught me maths in highschool and I am genuinely so grateful for her support. My expected grade in Alevels had been a C but I walked away with an A! She helps break down the complex subjects very well and gives great explanations that help clear up any confusions. She is calm and patient and is great at setting a Agebda even in a short time period. Couldn’t recommend her more.
Aleesha and I were colleagues for 2 years and worked together closely on a number of projects where we interviewed female micro entrepreneurs from lower socio-economic backgrounds. Aleesha was very friendly not only towards her colleagues but also towards the participants we worked closely with. Her excellent social skills came in the form of breaking the ice amongst our interview participants using light humor, or helping explain complex financial concepts such as savings accounts and liquidity management to our participants using real life examples and anecdotes. The interview participants would open up very easily to Aleesha because of her ability to establish safety and trust amongst them through her empathy, kindness, and active listening. I have learnt a lot from Aleesha during our time working together, especially in the workshops she conducted on topic such as paper prototyping/engineering which were new for the team. She made sure that learning was fun and engaging by including hands-on activities and quoting relevant facts and figures from her vast knowledge on design. I would highly recommend Aleesha to anyone who needs help with learning maths.
Aleesha and I studied together in O and A levels where she really helped me get through my Math exams with impressive grades. Especially as someone who really struggled with complex mathematical concepts, Aleesha's approach of breaking down tricky and seemingly abstract concepts using real life examples combined with immense patience made acing maths so much easier for me. Her degrees in engineering are a testament to her solid knowledge of the subject. Aleesha is very friendly and easy to get along with, I would recommend her highly to anyone who needs help with Maths!
