PERSONAL STATEMENT
I have a strong educational background in English Language and Literature (modules at university include, for example: Shakespeare (original format), World Literature, English Language and Creative Writing modules) and during my studies I was fortunate enough to receive the following recognitions; a publication in poetry, have my artwork exhibited at the Tate, Britain Art Gallery and on Oxford Street, London.
I have developed my early working path around a well-founded work ethic and excellent client relations over my years in professional roles. I have years of professional experience across numerous sectors, combining to 6 years in Teaching and 2 year in the creative industries.
During my professional career, I have taught in many situations providing me with an abundance of experience working with children and adults and a deep understanding of learning techniques. Additionally, I also have an understanding of the importance of relaying information about the lesson to parents regarding progress to make sure all parties are up to date and in sync to a common goal. My teaching experience includes having had the opportunity to teach English in three countries across the world as a TEFL English teacher, a 1-2-1 English/Art tutor for clients, 1-2-1 and small groups tutor in schools/extra curricular settings and in companies in the leisure industry sector.
Aside from teaching English, Creative Writing and Art, professionally I create content (freelance) for businesses in the form of artwork, social media content, articles, newsletters etc. and teach aquatics. My professional portfolio can be seen online as part of google, numerous company websites and I have exhibits in online art galleries.

My strength in teaching lie within initially building a strong rapport with a child or adult learner through kindness and a patient demeanour, I understand that learning can be challenging and daunting to some learners, from there I can then determine their strengths and weaknesses to focus my tuition on areas they are in need and thereby building knowledge through clear explanation, educational activities (and most importantly time) which I believe to be best suited to the learners style. To do this my method of teaching includes gently pushing academic boundaries to expand on their current knowledge whilst keeping the lessons informative and interesting.
Outside of my professional life, I am a family oriented person who regularly spends time volunteering for different charities.
