About Isabelle
With a MENSA-certified IQ of 153, a BA Hons in Modern Languages, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, I have tutored pupils both privately and in schools with the government’s post-COVID National Tutoring Programme. I previously taught English as a Second Language to adults and teens, and tutored GCSE English language and literature. On a personal note, I attended a grammar school, as did my father, sister, and now my daughter; I thoroughly believe in second chances and I feel highly motivated to help young people to achieve similar success in securing a place at their chosen school through unlocking the abilities already within them, so they can take the CAT4 school entrance test in their stride.

I provide effective learning support to help pupils reach their full potential in the CAT4 school entrance test commonly used by independent schools and for late entry or in-year admissions to grammar schools. After an initial assessment to allow me to measure my pupils’ progress, I use bespoke, original teaching materials to break down the four test areas into further, quickly recognisable types and teach pupils how to unlock a methodical and effective approach to answering questions, building insight and confidence, increasing speed, and leading to test success.
